The Beloved Community and Neighboring Well

Reconciliation between two people takes considerable time, many tears, growing self awareness, and true repentance. If this is true for individuals, it is all the more true for entire communities of people. Kingdom Mission Society, in partnership with Grace and Race Ministries, Inc., through MLK Bridges will be hosting a full-day workshop around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s concept of the Beloved Community with a special focus on how grace can help build bridges around race.

At Incarnation Anglican we want to continue growing as a community that welcomes its neighbors with the love of Jesus. This conference will help us go deeper by doing the following:

  • Explain the nature of racial understanding between Christians from Historic Black Protestant, Evangelical, Roman Catholic, and Mainline backgrounds.

  • Deepen relationships across race around a common conversation about the Beloved Community concept of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

  • Identify potential next steps in our work in building bridges around race within our church and work environment.
