When you pray....
Dear friends,
It's been such a delight going through the book of James - and it was a solidly good reminder to end with the importance of prayer. And so I'd love to remind you of the opportunities we have EVERY week to pray.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NRSV)
Every Monday mid-morning we update our 'family prayer' list and invite you to pause and pray.
Tuesday and Thursday @noon: we gather on zoom to pray the midday daily office.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday our small groups always pause to pray..
Every second Friday @7am, the men gather for power hour and pray for each other and our community.
Every Sunday, at the end of the service, we offer 'prayer at the back' when two trained prayer warriors will pray with you for anything that is on your mind.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14
I hope you are engaging in at least one of these communal prayer opportunities every week!
