Outreach at Incarnation

A photo taken during our "refreshing the workers" trip to West Asia in Nov 2021 - ask me if you'd like to learn more!

Dear friends,

You are such a generous church and you care so deeply about justice and people on the margins — it's really a privilege to be your pastor. I'm excited to invite you to two outreach opportunities and share some outreach updates below:

Reading helpers at Randolph

A former Incarnation member recently connected us to a literacy program called the Life Enrichment Center (LEC). We connected LEC to the amazing principal of Randolph Elementary to trial an after-school literacy program this fall at Randolph. Students who would benefit from the program are selected by their teachers and paired with a volunteer to read to one another from 3-3:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month at Randolph. This is SUCH a simple, low-commitment opportunity (30 minutes/month) to serve the students and families of Randolph Elementary! LEC will train all volunteers, and the program will begin in October.

If you are interested in volunteering as a reading helper, please let me know by Sept 18!

An evening discussion on justice

Come share a meal and meet one of Incarnation's outreach partners from who is visiting from New Delhi. Join the South Asia Director of Justice Ventures International (JVI) for a conversation about his work combatting human trafficking and other extreme injustice. This Saturday, Sept 10, from 6-8:30pm at the Sungs' house. RSVP here by Thurs, Sept 8!

Outreach partners update

Every year, we give away 15% of our income to outreach partners who advance our outreach priorities: Justice & Mercy, Creation & Beauty, Refreshing the Workers, and Church Planting & Evangelism (read more). We are grateful for your generosity which makes this outreach giving possible!

Our outreach team spends many hours in prayer and conversation to determine gift recipients on a rolling basis. Below are the recipients of our most recent round of giving. Some have received gifts in the past and we want to continue supporting their good work. Some are first-time recipients whose work we believe in. And all are organizations and individuals with whom we hope to deepen our partnership over the coming year.

And if you know an organization doing great work, let us know!

Local/U.S. Gifts

Local Gifts with a Global Focus

***

Thank you for being such a generous, neighbor-loving, justice-seeking church! And stay tuned this fall for more opportunities to engage with Incarnation's outreach partners through prayer, conversation, and service.

Much love,

Amy
