Groceries and New Mom Care for RILA

We love the work of our friends at Restoration Immigration Legal Aid (RILA), and we have partnered with them many times in the past. We were already collecting groceries for RILA's May 3 legal clinics when they approached us earlier this week about a new opportunity to support pregnant women and babies. Naturally, we said YES!

Here's what RILA had to say about this new program:

"RILA’s clients are already among the most vulnerable, and a pregnancy in a foreign country is incredibly challenging to navigate. RILA aims to provide these mothers with information about healthcare in the U.S., a care package of essential baby items, and referrals to other service providers where clients can receive additional support. RILA supporters are invited to sign up to compile a care package for one of these expectant mothers."

That's where we come in. Incarnation will compile one of the first of these care packages to support these vulnerable mothers and babies.

We are also still collecting groceries! We've combined signups for both of these efforts into a single form, and all items are due the weekend of May 1-2.

How does it work?

  • Sign up here to indicate how many grocery bags and/or baby items you'd like to provide, then go shopping! (Shopping for items can be a fun way to include kids in this project.)

  • You will receive an email after signing up with further details (grocery shopping list, drop-off details, etc).

  • Drop off items the weekend of May 1-2 at the Rowes' house in South Arlington.

  • Incarnation will deliver the groceries and completed care package to RILA on May 3, and RILA will distribute to clients throughout that week.

Please signup today - and thank you for being such a generous church!
